Join ARCSI for our new interactive Zoom program – Residential Cleaning Coffee & Conversation.

Our special guest for July is Shawn Day from Blue Skies Services. He will joins us to talk about the ABCs of recruiting: “Always Be ‘Cruitin!,” as he explains why you should always be recruiting for new team members.

These are monthly talks that will bring together our residential cleaning community to talk about crucial issues facing the industry, as well as day-to-day operational and personnel concerns. We all have problems and it’s especially beneficial to talk to someone who is the same boat you are, that has the same experiences as you.

Coffee & Conversation will be the first Thursday of each month at 11:30 am EST / 10:30 am CTL.

    Blue Skies Recruiting

Shawn Founded Professional House Cleaning Services Inc which grew to around 40 employees. The company provided home cleaning, window cleaning, commercial cleaning, and post-construction cleaning services throughout Northeast Ohio for about 20 years. Shawn sold Professional House Cleaning Services to Blue Skies Services. The CEO at the time was Michael Dahlke. Mike and Shawn agreed to partner and Shawn stayed on to help develop the Interior Home Cleaning Division for Blue Skies Services. The leaders of Blue Skies Services implemented a growth strategy through acquisitions. Blue Skies purchased several cleaning companies. It was very apparent that recruiting was critical to continue executing on this growth strategy. Shawn spent years developing an Automated Recruiting System specific to the cleaning industry. Today, Blue Skies Recruiting now serves hundreds of other home service businesses in helping them interview and hire great employees from technicians, sales, and operation’s managers.

    Helping Hands

After working in the corporate world for a few years, I got laid off a few months after 9/11. Having a 4-month-old son, I chose not to go back to the corporate world but to open my own business. I had the desire of helping people; in the corporate world helping others was not the priority. In November 2001, Helping Hands was born. Today, Helping Hands is stronger than ever, employing 45 cleaning technicians and office staff. We service residential and commercial clients in the Chicagoland area.

The event is finished.
