  Karen started City Wide of Boston with Bob Sommers in 2008, the 19th market established for the City Wide Facility Solutions franchise system that has since grown to over 115 markets in the US and Canada. Prior to City Wide, Karen spent 15 years in Sales and Sales Management in Boston and New York Radio, working for both American Radio Systems and CBS/Infinity Broadcasting and later as an independent radio sales consultant for stations and clients. In 2002 along with Bob, she co-founded the grass roots, 100% volunteer based charity Smiling Kids Inc. The 501(c)3 charity provided birthday presents to children and teens in-need throughout Massachusetts. During its life, the organization provided over 20,000 birthday presents. The success and enjoyment of launching and growing the charity ignited the interest to start a business. Karen is the proud mother of three young adult children and is passionate about supporting the growth and development of female leaders.

She has extensive experience in strategic account management and customer partnership, with a focus on delivering solutions that drive performance and long-term value. Known for her collaborative approach, Kelly is passionate about building strong relationships, continuous improvement, and supporting women in business.

  Kelly Orchard is a Category Manager at Network Distribution, where she has been a key contributor since joining the organization in 2022. Prior to her time at Network, Kelly gained expertise in Sales and Client Relations through positions at Earth Friendly Products and Waypoint Commercial Solutions, supporting Manufacturers, Distributors and End User accounts. An active member of Hygieia, Kelly is deeply committed to advancing women in the industry through mentorship, advocacy, and leadership development and was recently recognized for her impact as part of ISSA’s Class of 2025 Emerging Leaders. Beyond her professional achievements, Kelly is a wife and mother of two young daughters.

  Northeast Healthcare Channel Director, Imperial Dade

  Starting her career in manufacturing working for both Sweetheart Cup Company and then Johnson Wax, Susanne developed a strong foundation in the industry with the robust training programs these companies both offered. Pursued by distribution, Susanne spent the next 10 years as Vice President of Sales for Tewksbury with EBP Supply Solutions. Following EBP’s acquisition by Imperial Dade in 2021, Susanne became a Sales Manager for Franklin MA and is now the Northeast Healthcare Channel Sales Director. She is Co-Chair of ISSA’s Hygieia Network Council allowing the opportunity to share her insights and experience expanding programs to benefit the next generation of women entering the industry. She is also an active member of ISSA’s Cleaning Advocacy group working to shape policy in the Cleaning industry.
