Sara Gibbons is the Global Vice President of Sales for Gilchrist & Soames, a subsidiary of Sysco Food Service. With over 20 years of experience in both consumer and commercial channels, she is a distinguished sales professional who has previously worked for Unilever, Clorox, Johnson & Johnson, and General Mills. Currently, she leads the global hospitality amenities sales team, specializing in the development and manufacturing of personal care products for Hilton, Marriott, Hyatt, Sonesta, and various independent hoteliers.
Driven by her passion for being a nurturing change agent, Sara enjoys volunteering with the Hygieia Mentoring and New Member Committees.
Meredith Wertz is an Omnichannel Key Account Manager for Essity Professional Hygiene working with foodservice distributor partners to grow and evolve their end customer purchasing journeys. She has five years’ experience in the professional hygiene industry specializing in foodservice, training, sales strategy, and digital activation. In her previous role in Essity, she served as Global Training Manager for Professional Hygiene at Essity, developing an onboarding program for new hires in addition to internal training and distributor partner training. She serves on a Essity’s Sales Advisory Council and is involved in other cross-functional projects to drive sales excellence.
Meredith was born and raised in Lubbock, Texas then attended Texas A&M University to study psychology. After graduating, she started her first career as a middle school math teacher in Houston, Texas with Teach for America. After completing her two-year commitment, she remained in her school district and spent an additional 6 years working with the district office in multi-tiered systems of support for mental and behavioral health. Her transition to Essity Professional Hygiene was the next step in working with health in a broader scope.
Outside of work, Meredith, and her husband love to travel and attend motorsport racing. She is involved in two groups, Females in Motorsport and Girls Across the Grid, to connect with other racing fans around the world. She loves networking with people with similar interests, both personally and professionally.
