  • Laurie Sewell
    Laurie Sewell
    President & CEO, Servicon

President and CEO Laurie Sewell is leading Servicon into its 50th year of achieving its purpose: to elevate the industry and provide healthy environments for people to thrive.

After earning her master’s in organizational behavior, Laurie worked at Servicon in various capacities before being named president in 2009; in 2014, CEO was added to her title. She has helped Servicon expand from a regional into a national organization, providing custodial supplies, equipment, and services to the aerospace, healthcare, life sciences, and commercial industries.

As head of a women-owned and operated company in a traditionally male-dominated industry, Laurie has been a tireless proponent of the advancement of women in the cleaning profession. Throughout her career, she has maintained her mantra of always leading with authenticity, heart, and kindness, which she makes clear, should never be mistaken for weakness. Last year, her leadership style was recognized by the Lost Angeles Business Journal as a Woman of the Year nominee. Laurie has served on numerous boards, including ISSA, and is currently an active board member of the American Red Heart Association’s Go Red for Women and the Los Angeles Economic Development Corporation. With a strong foundation in startup environments, Katie thrives in fast-paced, purpose-driven organizations where she can build programs from the ground up and create meaningful, measurable impact.

She brings a rare blend of operational leadership, sales strategy, and deep human empathy to every team she joins.

Katie earned her MBA from the University of Louisville, where she combined her business education with her passion for social equity. Her early career as a special education teacher laid the groundwork for her lifelong advocacy for underrepresented and neurodiverse communities.
