Today’s workforce is comprised of four generations with different goals and life experiences. The ISSA Hygieia Networking and Leadership Conference will focus on the theme of working with and communicating effectively in a multi-generational workforce. Attendees can expect to gain new connections and the necessary tools and strategies to apply to their professional lives.
Throughout the conference, participants will hear from inspiring speakers across generations regarding their career journey, learnings and advice. Attendees will also participate in a workshop-style session to learn about the four generations, identify how to draw on the strengths of each generation, and how to effectively communicate with and support generationally diverse teams.

Amie Kromis pairs 10+ years of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) experience in the aviation, construction and health/hygiene industries with her mission to evolve business by making it more inclusive. Amie serves as DEI Director for Essity North America where she supports business leaders in North America in reaching Essity’s global DEI ambitions. She received her bachelor’s degree in corporate communications and public affairs from SMU and holds a MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business where she was a Forte Foundation Fellow. Kromis hails from Nashville, Tennessee and has made Washington, DC her home
Jamie O’Neill serves as Nilfisk’s Executive Vice President & General Manager Americas region and has deep experience in global sales, commercial development and customer relationship management. He joined Nilfisk in 2012 as North American Director of Sales for the Industrial Vacuum Division. In 2019, he assumed the responsibility for Nilfisk’s commercial activities in the US market, building a strong team with an enhanced customer focus and revised market strategy. Prior to Nilfisk, Jamie was the US Divisional Sales Manager at Hilti, a leading global manufacturer of tools and professional construction products. He held a range of leadership roles in developing management training programs, as well as implementing customer relationship and sales strategies.
Jamie Roland serves as the Manager of Category Executives and Value of Wholesale at Essendant where she started her career in 2021. She currently leads a team of eleven experienced individuals who support the janitorial, industrial and foodservice categories and Essendant’s value of wholesale team. Prior to Essendant, she spent ten and a half years in sales at Kimberly Clark Professional. She earned a Bachelor’s in Marketing and a Master’s in Organizational and Strategic Leadership. She and her husband have two children.
Katie Larson is the Head of HR, Americas Region for Nilfisk, Inc., one of the world’s largest providers of cleaning solutions. Larson joined Nilfisk in 2014 and has held roles in multiple Human Resources disciplines. She is a member of the Global Human Resources Leadership Team and the Americas Leadership Team. Prior to Nilfisk, Katie held roles in Human Resources functions with Target Corporation and St. Jude Medical, now Abbott, based in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Katie is passionate about building trusting teams, customer centricity, and empowering people and organizations to achieve meaningful growth. Katie is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Madison and is centered by her husband and two sons.
Rachel Brutosky is the Vice President of Sales-Strategic Accounts for Nilfisk, Inc., one of the world’s largest providers of cleaning equipment. Brutosky joined Nilfisk in 2007 and has worked in various roles within the marketing and sales departments serving as both contributor and leader. She is a member of the company’s U.S. Executive Leadership Team.
Rachel is passionate about leading and coaching others to bring out their highest potential. She currently serves on the Council of the ISSA Hygieia Network and chairs Hygieia’s mentoring committee. Rachel is certified in Situational Leadership II, has a Bachelor’s degree from Temple University, and a Master of Business Administration from West Chester University.
