June 5: Networking & Leadership Conference Workshop
THE 3A’S OF ALLYSHIP: Awareness, Authenticity, and ACTION!
Allyship was Dictionary.com’s word of the year in 2021…and for the first time ever, a “new” word was selected. While focused training on allyship is absent in most organizations, allyship is the practice of advocating for others. More importantly, allyship needs to be lived out every day through intentional and authentic actions that support female talent.
Kim Graham Lee, Chief Allyship Officer and Former CEO of Integrating Women Leader’s Foundation (IWL), kicks off our conference with an interactive workshop that will educate and engage you. She will share the key foundational concepts of allyship and how allyship is a journey.
Learn how gender bias and related “paper cuts” show up in the workplace all too frequently and devalue women. Leverage the framework Kim presents for calling harmful behavior out whether you are advocating for yourself or someone else.
A 20-year “marketing research veteran,” Kim will also highlight key findings from IWL’s 2023 State of Allyship-in-Action Research. It is the most comprehensive study of what allyship to women looks like in corporate America today and includes the opinions of both women and men. The numbers reveal what is and isn’t happening as it relates to allyship to women in the workplace.
Allyship is critical to moving the needle on gender equity. We all have an opportunity to be an ally…and embrace that journey.
