Explore how the New York State Sheriff’s bonded together to create a statewide cleaning for health program for the county jails throughout NYS.  The NYS sheriffs partnered with ISSA to launch the first-ever statewide training and certification program for incarcerated individuals in New York’s County jail system. Those incarcerated in the state’s county jail system now have the opportunity to be certified as experts on cleaning for health from ISSA’s Cleaning Management Institute (CMI) and upon release be able to get a job in the janitorial industry. 

Each person that registers for the first of its kind webinar to help jails implement a program that will help you learn how to:

  • Decrease the risk of infectious disease outbreaks that harm your officers, the Incarcerated population and visitors to your facility
  • Decrease violence in your Facility
  • Reduce jail operating costs

  • Air quality monitoring 30 days with an analysis given to the facility
  • Official Cleaning standards used in the NYS Sheriffs Association Jail Accreditation Program and reviewed by the Bureau of Justice Administration (BJA) and the NYS Department of Health (NYSDOH)

    First Responder’s Wellness Center Program Manager, New York State Sheriffs Institute

    Bob Cuttita is currently the First Responder’s Wellness Center Program Manager for the New York State Sheriffs Institute. Bob’s background includes over 31 years of correctional experience in all aspects of corrections throughout New York State. He has provided technical assistance to correctional systems to ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations as a government compliance officer for the NYS Executive Branch. As an inspector he was tasked with conducting investigations that deal with incarcerated individual complaints, reportable incidents, death investigations as well as the review and approved construction plans of correctional facilities throughout NYS. Throughout his career Bob was the Deputy Superintendent of a correctional facility and started several programs to include cleaning for health, and family education, both of which received national recognition. Throughout Bobs Career he always insured the safe, stable, and humane treatment of individuals housed in NYS’s correctional system. Currently Bob sits on the National Sheriff’s Association Emerging Technology Committee and is working with several architectural firms as well as been hired as an expert witness for correctional facility cases.
