    The CMI Hard Floor Care Certification Workshop, hosted at Sunbelt Rentals, is designed to provide an in-depth overview of hard floor care, current standards, and the latest efficient cleaning methods while addressing safety concerns and asset protection issues.

This workshop is tailored for facility service professionals in the industrial, commercial, restoration, supply chain, and public venue sectors of the cleaning industry. The Cleaning Management Institute (CMI) Hard Floor Care Certification Workshop offers a comprehensive overview of hard floor care, covering current standards, efficient cleaning methods, safety concerns, and asset protection.

Participants will learn about equipment, its functions, and safe usage, as well as how to select the right tools—mops, brooms, vacuums, and floor machines—for specific tasks. The workshop also explores techniques for maintaining modern flooring types like polyvinyl sheeting, rubber, bamboo, laminates, luxury vinyl tile (LVT), and luxury vinyl plank (LVP).

Attendees will receive CMI Certified Custodial Technician Handbooks, support materials, and the opportunity to take the certification exam after completing the workshop. Participants must pass the exam with a minimum 80% to earn Carpeted Floor Care Certification.

    A member of the cleaning industry since 1975, Stan Hulin has five decades of various and graduating degrees in cleaning industry experience and expertise. He is considered an authority in the area of hard floor maintenance, services, training, sales/marketing and management. From his first company to the present, he has designed and implemented janitorial and floor maintenance programs for cleaning companies and property owners/managers, and government bodies. Actively involved in the cleaning industry, Stan consults and participates in training, instruction, educating as well as cleaning assessment, and interior environment proactive cleaning programs. Stan currently is an owner of Future Facility Technology, Inc. and the Academy for Cleaning Industry Professionals, Inc., a nonprofit organization, which focuses on strategic cleaning studies that go beyond the traditional tactical studies.
