Train the Trainer (CPT) – ISSA Show North America 2023

ISSA’s Cleaning Management Institute (CMI) Train the Trainer workshop is structured to certify cleaning professionals as Certified Professional Trainers, so they can successfully implement training for their operation. It is a great way to begin effective and high-quality training.

The 2-day course utilizes the CMI Custodial Technician Basic and Advanced level certification courses as a foundation for the technical skills being implemented. Each day of Train the Trainer will include in-depth discussions and group activities featuring one of CMI’s Master Trainers.

Train the Trainer will provide you an understanding of what tools are needed to be an effective trainer. Each module within the Certified Custodial Technician is drilled down in depth with a strong focus on the implementation of a proper training program for your staff.

Over the course of the three days, groups of attendees will be assembled to create presentations based on their specific module. It will be the group’s responsibility to develop a presentation utilizing CMI’s content and deliver the message to the rest of the class. After the workshop concludes, each attendee will receive access to take the final online exam to be completed within a 60-day time frame. The passing grade per module is 80%. Along with the technical skills, each day our Master Trainer will continually cover adult learning styles and presentation techniques.

Custodial Technician Advanced Version 7 (Project Style Tasks)

• Advanced Cleaning of Hard Floor Surfaces
• Advanced Cleaning of Carpeted Floor Surfaces
• Advanced Cleaning of Above-Floor Surfaces
• Advanced Disinfection

Final stages:

1. Review/Recap
2. How to implement a proper training program
3. Setting goals to implement a training program

A final online exam will be taken after class has concluded, pass exam with 80%, to receive your Certified Professional Trainer (CPT) certification. 

Note: Lunch will be served each day around 12:00 pm. Travel costs are not covered in the registration fee for Train the Trainer.
