Effective cleaning in healthcare facilities is crucial for infection prevention and patient safety. All those involved in providing healthcare cleaning services should work towards high-quality, safe cleaning services that meet the needs and expectations of patients, staff, and the public. This contributes to the overall patient experience and high-quality patient-centered care.

In this workshop, you will learn

  • Risk assessments, hazard identification, and implementation of control measures.
  • Safe systems of work, including the proper use of equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • The chain of infection and methods to break it to prevent the spread of infectious diseases.
  • Personal hygiene, including handwashing hand sanitizing techniques to prevent infection.

This workshop provides essential and critical knowledge to cleaning professionals, addressing gaps in current protections and controls for transmissible diseases.

For those interested to receive a certificate of completion, participants are required to pass an examination and pay an administrative fee of EUR 10 for ISSA members /EUR 15 for non-members.
