He is also an active business owner who has bought, turned around, and sold numerous companies of his own and has helped over 30 other cleaning business owners to buy and sell their companies. His latest enterprises are a Handyman franchise as well as Reliable Cleaning of Fort Collins both of which he acquired with the intention to turn them around and resell them. Derek is also co-founder and Editor in Chief of the online magazine and website, Cleaning Business Today and an investor in home cleaning companies that operate in St. Louis, Portland, and Atalanta. Prior to his career as a serial entrepreneur, Derek spent twelve years at P&G working on household cleaning products.
